Question: Can you please tell me if there are any Duas for removing the effects of evil eye. May Allaah reward you.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

حامدًا وّمصليًا وّمسلمًا

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

It is mentioned in Tafseer Ibn Katheer that once Jibraeel (Alaihis Salaam) came to visit Nabee (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and saw that he was very upset. Jibraeel (Alaihis Salaam) asked Nabee (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) why he was upset and he replied that Hassan and Hussain (Radhiyallaahu Anhuma) have been afflicted with evil eye. Jibraeel (Alaihis Salaam) said: it is true that people can be affected by the evil eye. Why did you not give them relief by saying these words? Nabee (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) asked: what are those words? Jibraeel (Alaihis Salaam) replied, say the following words:

Allaahumma tha-Sultaan al-Azeem wal-Mann il-Qadeem tha al-Wajhil Kareem waliyal Kalimaat at-Taammaati wa-Da’waat il-mustajabaat aafil Hasan wal Husain min anfusil Jinn wa a’yunil ins

As soon as Nabee (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) recited this Dua, Hassan and Hussain (Radhiyallaahu Anhuma) got up and started playing in front of Nabee (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam). Nabee (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: O people! Protect your lives, your wives and your children with this Dua. There is no other Dua for protection better than this Dua. {Tafseer Ibn Katheer: vol  5 page 416}

Note: Mention the name of the person who has been afflicted with the evil eye at the underlined portion.

And Allaah Ta’ala knows best
